Zoo nestled away in the mountains, home to some of the most well-known Pallas’ Cats.


Seeing an F1 race is one of my more recent desires and this trip happens to align with the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit.

Tokyo Gov’t Building Observatory
One of the many free observatories in Tokyo. This one in Shibuya, giving a high up view of the busiest area in Tokyo and the Meji Jingu shrine.
Now that the anime capital, Akiba, is becoming overpriced due to the tourist boom, Nakano Broadway is starting to be the go-to place for anime goods in Tokyo.
Asakusa Culture Tourist Center Observation Terrace
Another free observation deck. Overlooking the iconic Sensō-Ji Temple.
Iconic 1 million sqft convention center built in 1996. Known for hosting Comiket, the largest fan convention in the world.
A Zoo in Ueno Park that I meant to go to last year, but did not find the chance to.
Decent sized zoo and flower garden located on the artificial Port Island.
Another Zoo not too far from Kobe Animal Kingdom. Has another pallas cat.
A smaller Zoo on the “outskirts” of Tokyo proper in Saitama. More importantly there are pallas cats here.

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Zoo and Garden that is pretty close to my hotel in Nagoya that I want to try to get to when I’m not busy with F1. As you could probably guess, there are pallas cats here.
Museum in Nagoya that showcases items in everyday life from the Showa Era (1926-1989). There is a gen 1 Sambar here and I want to see it.
A museum dedicated to dead media formats and old electronics in general. Hands-on approach to learning about old tech.
Hills House Sky Room Café & Bar
A cafe that is at the top of Azabudai Hills with a view of Tokyo tower.
Cafe near Akasaka featuring various models of Honda vehicles. Including a certain F1 car of Max Verstappen.
A self-proclaimed “ramen-themed amusement park” in Yokohama. Featuring different styles of ramen from all over Japan.
