Today was the first day with no real plans, a good break from something every day since I got here. So, I had a couple places to go this morning.
First was visiting the last location in Shinjuku where there was a Yakuza Vending Machine. Leaving Osaka as the last place to potentially find one.
I then made my way to a place I wanted to go last year but never made it to, eggslut. They are an international brand that started in the US, so it’s not just a Japan thing. But with a name like that, how can you not go.
I stopped by a Lawson to deposit my trash and grab something to drink, and I saw something interesting. My favorite flavor of Monster (Papillion) was here. My understanding was that they haven’t sold this flavor in the US for years, and I certainly haven’t seen it in years. So, this was an exciting moment.
I was told there was an Evangelion popup in a nearby mall, so I stopped by. It seemed mainly like a clear-out of some goods that they had leftover from the other Eva stores. I may stop by again and take a second look.
And heading back to my hotel, I forgot to share yesterday the “No Fun Allowed” vending machine area. Complete with No Smoking signs next to the cigarette vending machine.
